Nouns

Activity: List three nouns you can see around you.
Verbs
A verb is a word that expresses action or a state of being. Examples: run, is, jump.
Activity: Write five verbs that describe what you love to do.
Adjectives
An adjective is a word that describes a noun. Examples: blue, tall, interesting.
Activity: Find an object and describe it using three adjectives.
Adverbs
An adverb is a word that modifies a verb, an adjective, or another adverb. Examples: quickly, very, silently.
Activity: Write a sentence using a verb and add an adverb to describe it.
Pronouns
A pronoun is a word that takes the place of a noun. Examples: he, she, it.
Activity: Replace the nouns in the following sentence with pronouns: "Sarah loves her dog."
Prepositions
A preposition is a word that shows the relationship between a noun or pronoun and other words in a sentence. Examples: in, on, at.
Activity: Create a sentence using a preposition.
Conjunctions
A conjunction is a word that connects words, phrases, or clauses. Examples: and, but, or.
Activity: Join two simple sentences using a conjunction.

Interjections
An interjection is a word that expresses emotion. Examples: wow, ouch, hooray.
